My parents just bought a new home, it has cement floor in a few of the rooms. I've never seen or had a cement floor before. idk what's the propper maintenance and how to how to clean cement floor. My mom and dad are 80+yo, so I need to help them maintain the house. Give me insights here, okay guys :)

firstly, you need to figure out what kind of concrete it is. if it looks super shiny, like you could see your reflection in it, its probably polished. If its a bit shiny its likely sealed. Stained concrete will have color mixed right into it. no matter what kind you have you should just use a gentle cleaner. Polished floors are really easy to clean with just a plain mop. sealed floors will need a new coat of sealer every once in a while. Just make sure to wipe up spills quickly and dont use anything too strong on it.

Props to @meth0dman6k2 for the comprehensive method lol I was gonna say the same but yeah. Anwyay, for the dailies, just sweep or dust mop the debris. then every week you need to mop. Then for protection from stain, the guy is right do sealing.
