Labor rate for concrete finishing crew

I'm not sure if my concern is appropriate for this forum but I'd like to get an idea on a reasonable hourly rate for a project at my parents' house. They live in the San Gabriel Valley, and I'm planning to pour a new concrete driveway for them. I'm looking to hire a crew of 4-5 skilled concrete finishers just for the pour and finishing work. I'll take care of the prep work myself, including the grading, rebar, and setting the forms. I'll also handle the form tear-down and cutting the relief joints.

The driveway is a decent size, about 35x45 feet, which comes out to roughly 27 yards of concrete. I am estimating the entire job will take less than 7 hours from start to finish. I'd appreciate any input on what a reasonable hourly rate for a crew of this size would be, just for the pour and finish work. Thanks!

I'm not from SoCal, but I've heard that a good concrete finishing crew in the San Gabriel Valley usually charges between $50 and $75 per hour for each worker. That said, it's a good idea to look into the local rates to get the most accurate info.

One thing I've learned over the years is to analyze the market and see how it goes. I don't know the price, but I'd reach out to a few listings or ads just to get a quote. This will give you a range and form there you can see how much the average would be and then consider if it's within your budget.
