Blacktop or concrete driveway ?

I'm weighing the options between blacktop and concrete for a new driveway and could use some advice. Concrete seems to last longer, but blacktop is easier on the wallet and a bit simpler to fix if needed. Anyone here worked with both? Which one holds up better in the long run? Curious about maintenance too, does one require a lot more upkeep than the other?

I just put in a concrete driveway last year. its strong and should last a long time. Maintenance is pretty low! Just clean it now and then. Blacktop seems cheaper at first but might need more repairs over time. i'd go with concrete if you want something solid for years.

I'm team concrete, man. if you want a long life span, choose concrete, it can last for 20 to 30 years

I'm with the guys here. Sealing blacktop every few years can be a hassle, but concrete's ability to withstand wear and tear makes it a "concrete" investment, if you know what I mean.

The problem with saving a few bucks today is that you'll pay either way tomorrow. Slap the concrete and set your mind at ease for the next few decades
