Please help me get ahold of the best work boots for concrete 🥲

I swear, concrete must have some secret vendetta against my boots because none of them seem to survive for long. I've gone through everything from high end brands to budget picks and they all end up looking like they lost a fight with a jackhammer. What's your go to pair for working on concrete and do they last more than a few months before calling it quits?

Am I missing some magic trick to keep these boots alive longer? Maybe there's a concrete boot secret society I need to join. Let me know your favorites and suggestions to make them last. My wallet and I would be forever grateful.

Concrete doesn't work well with leather. Don't waste money on expensive boots and just get one for cheap if you're planning to use it every time you got a project. Keep buying secondhand until you can, if you're the type of person that's not too picky and shops at Goodwill (or the better thrift stores that aren't overpriced). Otherwise a good ol' rubber shoes is perfect so long as it has a steel toe.

I'll take your advice and stop splurging on leather. Maybe I'll raid the thrift stores for some hidden gems or just embrace the rubber shoe life. Do you think adding a waterproof spray to secondhand boots could give them a fighting chance, or is it a lost cause from the start?

fishing boots, as long as you don't need the steel toe protection. They're cheap and with a pair of foam inserts you can make them comfortable enouhg. It's not the best aproach, it's the cheapest

Thanks for the suggestion! Do they hold up well against wear and tear from constant use, or do you find yourself replacing them often?
