Polysheeting help

My client asked me specifically not to let the polysheeting get ruined by my slab. My task is to do a 5" by 3" slab and pour it over polysheeting but I don't know how it's possible to avoid getting holes into this? What are the specific ways I can put the edge forms? I can't strategize for some reason but it's at the tip of my tongue. Maybe I just need a little push from you.

Well first you need to place your edge forms on top of the poly, not through it, and stake outside the forms not through the slab area. Don't use anything sharp that can puncture the poly, use plastic dobies or concrete bricks instead. With tape or construction tape seal the edges and keep the stakes clear, place them outside the slab zone and just clamp the forms to them. Hope this helps.

To keep the polysheeting safe while you're pouring your slab, it's best to set the edge forms on top of the plastic instead of pushing them through. This way, you avoid any punctures in the sheet.You could go with a temporary edge form system, or even just lay a 2x4 across as a quick fix. Just be sure to seal the edges well so the vapor barrier stays whole

Had something like that happen on a job, I used foam board to lift the forms off the plastic and just poured the slab slow and steady around the edges, you just gotta stay chill and take your time.
